Some devices are not repairable and, in some cases, cost of repairs is too high. As a result electrical and electronic equipments end up as scrap. Given the mammoth rise in the use of electrical and electronic devices at present and in the future, the amount of wastes generated will be stupendous.
We need to plan now and act today to handle the enormous amount of e-wastes that will be generated and thus reduce risk of pollution. E-waste plans to become a nation-wide operation with doorstep collection facility, create awareness and be instrumental in making the Earth a safer place for its inhabitants.
